Battleground 2: The Sequel.
Several years ago, on the Xbox, I built the original Battleground, a space for 2 teams, 4 teams, or 8 teams, with the hope that eventually we'd get up to 32 players in a game.
This is more or less turning it back into a template to work with. Presently, there are spawns for all 8 teams, vehicles scattered around, a couple secrets, and KoTH is set up.
Infinite killed my Halo and Forge desire this year. I'm trying to get back into it, and figured I'd start with a familiar space.
I use a trait zone at the lowest possible point, to make walking through the water halve your jump height and slow you down. It adds a little flavor to foot travel. I actually try to do that with all maps made on this canvas, to a degree. Large areas promote vehicle traversal, being big enough to roll tanks around. Long sight lines in these areas are good for BR combat, with Brute Shots placed frequently as the anti-vehicle and/or artillery option. Trees are sunk into the ground in some places, making "bushes" to hide in and to break sight lines without walls.
Re-tooling it so far without all the minute and specific team objectives gave me almost 200 more objects to work with, and I immediately fixed several issues I knew existed but needed more objects for. Original map was sitting at 638/650, and runs questionably on my system.
