After a couple weeks now setting up the site in my spare time, a lot of the basic things are in place. Still, there's a lot of work to do before the site is in a usable state for hosting maps or close to 1:1 with the old version. Much of the work around content featuring, the map index and forum/home page is done and looking better than ever (on desktop anyway). More work needs to be done to make the site mobile-friendly, but this area of custom coding took far longer the previous time around.
Next up on the big list of items is the map submission forms and the way a map post is presented. This was a strength of the site before and I want it to look just as good if not better this time.
