Yes it's a block game
From now on, I'll also be hosting updates to my first ever real game project, which I'm currently just referring to as BlockGame. My plans are to maybe update weekly on progress as it's being made with a bit of insight into what I'm planning.

What is BlockGame?

My idea for the game is for it to be focused on factory building and colonization. The premise is that you're a cargo ship pilot crash landed on a world who needs to both repair/rebuild their ship but also recover/fulfill a shipping manifest - both of which can be done though exploitation of the world's resources and inhabitants. However unlike other factory-style games, it's a voxel game where terrain is deformable.

What have you done so far?

My initial goal now is to complete a full biome of basic world generation. This essentially requires every worldgen system to be in place and be extendable enough to allow for the easy addition of further biomes. I'm currently most of the way there with this but still need to create some more basic art assets for different rock types and add in ore generation. Once my initial biome prototype checklist is done, I'll post and update with a fuller design document and feature priority list.
